Motor Vehicle Accidents in Brampton
Car accident physiotherapy in Brampton for whiplash, concussion, and post-collision back pain, funded by your own auto insurer under Ontario’s no-fault accident benefits. We complete the OCF-3 Disability Certificate, submit OCF-18 treatment plans, and bill your insurer directly as a HCAI-licensed clinic. Same-day assessments, seven days a week.

About This Service
Ontario accident benefits are paid by your own auto insurer, no matter who caused the crash. That coverage is set out in the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule, the regulation sitting behind every auto policy sold in the province, and it applies whether you were driving, riding as a passenger, walking, or cycling. Three early steps protect the claim: tell your insurer about the collision within 7 days, return the OCF-1 Application for Accident Benefits within 30 days of receiving the package, and ask a regulated health professional to complete an OCF-3 Disability Certificate if the injuries keep you from working or managing your home. You also pick the clinic that treats you, and you do not need a lawyer to begin.
Treatment itself is requested on an OCF-18 treatment plan, which we prepare after your assessment and send to your adjuster for approval. When the injuries are classified as minor — sprains, strains, and whiplash graded WAD I–II — the Minor Injury Guideline limits treatment funding to $3,500. Injuries falling outside that guideline are handled as non-catastrophic, and those claims can reach up to $65,000 for medical and rehabilitation benefits combined with attendant care. Because we are a HCAI-licensed clinic, approved treatment is invoiced to your insurer rather than to you, up to the funding your claim allows.
Collisions produce a predictable set of injuries, and we treat all of them: neck pain and whiplash, concussion symptoms such as headache, dizziness, and brain fog, mid-back, low-back, shoulder, and chest-wall pain from seat-belt and airbag forces, jaw pain, nerve-related numbness or tingling, and anxiety about getting back behind the wheel. Physiotherapists Divya Sreejith, Akanksha Rawat, Vidhi Godhani, and Komal Suthar work with chiropractor Dr. Thessa Prashad, DC, at 10725 McLaughlin Rd, Unit #5, in Mount Pleasant Brampton near McLaughlin Rd & Sandalwood Pkwy. Same-day assessments and a free consultation are available seven days a week at (905) 495-5600.
When Should You Get This Treatment?
- Neck pain, stiffness, or headache began after a rear-end or side-impact crash. Whiplash recovers better with early assessment and graded movement than with rest and waiting.
- Dizziness, light sensitivity, nausea, or brain fog followed a bump to the head. These point to a possible concussion, which we screen for and treat alongside neck injury.
- Seat-belt and airbag forces left you with shoulder, rib, mid-back, or low-back pain. Bracing at impact strains tissue well beyond the neck.
- Numbness, tingling, or shooting pain travels down an arm or a leg. Nerve-root irritation needs a neurological exam before exercise is progressed.
- Your jaw aches, clicks, or will not open fully since the crash. Airbag contact and sudden head rotation commonly disturb the jaw joint and chewing muscles.
- Symptoms surfaced days or weeks later, not at the roadside. Delayed pain and stiffness are still collision injuries and still belong on your accident benefits claim.
- Driving now makes you anxious, or your sleep has not settled. Graded return-to-driving work and coordinated referral are part of MVA physio, not separate from it.
- A previous clinic discharged you while you were still in pain. You choose your own clinic, so we can reassess you and submit a fresh OCF-18.
- Your $3,500 Minor Injury Guideline funding has run out. We document whether your injuries fall outside the guideline so the file can move to non-catastrophic funding.
- You have not started the paperwork and are unsure where to begin. Book a free consultation, bring your claim number, and we will walk you through the forms.
What to Expect
Getting started: phone (905) 495-5600 or come in to 10725 McLaughlin Rd, Unit #5, and ask for a car accident assessment. Same-day and next-day appointments are usually available, and the clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9 to 7 and Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 3. Bring your claim number, your adjuster’s name, and any hospital or walk-in paperwork. A free consultation is available if you want to understand your options first.
Your first appointment: a physiotherapist takes the story of the crash — direction of impact, headrest and seat-belt position, whether an airbag deployed, whether you struck your head — then screens for anything needing a physician or imaging. The physical exam covers neck and spine movement, strength, reflexes and sensation, jaw and shoulder mechanics, balance, and a concussion screen when a head strike is involved. You leave with a working diagnosis and a written plan.
The paperwork we handle: we prepare the OCF-18 treatment plan from that assessment and submit it to your insurer for you. If the collision has kept you off work or unable to run your household, one of our regulated health professionals completes the OCF-3 Disability Certificate. Your own reporting duties stay simple: notify your insurer within 7 days and send back the OCF-1 application within 30 days. We stay in contact with your adjuster while the file is open.
Treatment visits: once your plan is approved, sessions combine hands-on work on stiff joints and guarded muscle, graded exercise for the neck, shoulder, and back, and coaching on how to pace your day. Concussion care adds gentle aerobic progression, visual and balance retraining, and headache management. Progress is reviewed at set intervals, and the exercises change as you regain range, strength, and tolerance for driving and work.
One coordinated team: physiotherapy, chiropractic care with Dr. Thessa Prashad, DC, massage therapy, and acupuncture can all sit inside the same approved plan, so the treatments build on each other instead of overlapping. With your written permission we share progress with your family doctor, and with your lawyer or paralegal if you have retained one. A lawyer is not required to start treatment.
What it costs you: as a HCAI-licensed clinic we bill your auto insurer directly, so once your treatment plan is approved you pay nothing out of pocket for the care that plan covers, up to the funding limits of your claim — $3,500 under the Minor Injury Guideline, or up to $65,000 in combined medical, rehabilitation, and attendant care benefits for non-catastrophic injuries. If a plan is denied, we explain your options before further treatment.
