Work Injuries (WSIB) in Brampton
WSIB physiotherapy in Brampton for injured workers, with same-day assessment and direct billing to WSIB. Open seven days a week to suit shift schedules.

About This Service
WSIB covers physiotherapy for people injured on the job in Ontario, and approved treatment costs the injured worker nothing. Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997 entitles a worker with a work-related injury to the health care that injury requires, and WSIB pays the clinic for it. Circle Physiotherapy bills WSIB directly from our Brampton clinic at 10725 McLaughlin Rd, Unit #5, so nothing comes out of your pocket. You also choose the clinic: no employer, supervisor or insurance representative can direct you to a particular registered provider. Treatment can begin before your claim is formally approved, so you are not waiting on adjudication to start recovering.
Report the injury to your employer as soon as it happens, because that report starts the claim. Your employer then files a Form 7 with WSIB, and you file a Form 6, the worker’s own account of what happened. After your first assessment here, your physiotherapist files a Form 8 describing the diagnosis, the planned treatment and your current abilities, which is what WSIB uses to authorize care. Ongoing functional abilities reporting keeps your case manager and employer current on what you can safely lift, carry, reach and tolerate, and we send updates whenever your capacity changes.
Work injury physio at Circle covers the whole range of workplace injury rehab — lifting and low back strains, shoulder and rotator cuff injuries, repetitive strain at the wrist and elbow, knee and ankle injuries, and recovery after WSIB-approved surgery. Brampton’s warehouse, logistics, manufacturing and trades crews make up much of our caseload. Graduated return-to-work planning is part of the treatment: we step your duties upward with your employer and issue a Functional Abilities Form as the plan advances.
When Should You Get This Treatment?
- You have an open WSIB claim and claim number. Bring it to the first visit; treatment starts that day.
- Your claim is filed but not yet approved. Treatment can begin now rather than waiting on adjudication.
- Lifting or repetitive handling injured your low back. Warehouse, picking and shipping work fills much of our caseload.
- Your shoulder was hurt overhead, pulling, or in a fall. Rotator cuff strains and impingement respond to graded loading.
- Gripping, triggering or assembly work irritated your elbow or wrist. Forearm tendon and nerve symptoms are common in trades.
- You slipped or fell on a plant floor or loading dock. Knee, ankle and wrist injuries get same-day assessment.
- Your work involves patient handling or transfers. Back and shoulder injuries from moving people need job-specific rehab.
- You drive or deliver for a living. Long hours seated, plus loading and unloading, produce neck and back pain.
- You had WSIB-approved surgery and need rehabilitation. We follow your surgeon’s protocol and keep reporting current.
- Someone told you which clinic to attend. Choosing your registered provider is your right; transfer to Circle whenever you want.
- You need functional abilities documented for modified duties. We measure safe lifting, carrying and standing tolerance, then report it.
- Your recovery has stalled while you remain off full duties. We reassess and build a graduated return with your employer.
What to Expect
Your first appointment is a full assessment, and it runs about an hour. We start with the story of the injury: what you were doing, what you felt, what you have not been able to do since. Then your physiotherapist screens the injured region and the joints above and below it, measures range of motion and strength, checks nerve involvement when symptoms travel, and records a baseline for pain and daily function. Everything happens in a private treatment room, one clinician with you the whole time.
Treatment begins in that same visit, not at a later appointment. Depending on what we find, that can mean hands-on joint and soft-tissue work, guided movement to settle an irritable area, taping or bracing, and a short home program you can actually manage around a shift. Before you leave, your physiotherapist files the Form 8 that reports your diagnosis, the treatment plan and your current abilities to WSIB.
Follow-up visits build capacity for the demands of your actual job. Early sessions calm pain and restore movement; later sessions load the injured tissue on purpose, because strength and tolerance are what let you return to a pick rate, a tool, or a twelve-hour shift. We rehearse the real tasks — a lift height, a reach, a carry distance — and progress them as your measurements improve.
Reporting is handled here, and you never pay for it. We complete the Functional Abilities Form that tells your employer what you can safely do, send progress reports at the intervals WSIB expects, and speak with your case manager or return-to-work coordinator when a plan needs changing. With your written consent we talk to your supervisor directly, so modified duties reflect your measured capacity rather than guesswork.
Approved WSIB treatment costs you nothing at Circle Physiotherapy. We bill WSIB directly for authorized care, so there is no payment at the desk, no deductible and no charge for forms or reports. You do not need a doctor’s referral. If your employer has filed its report and you have not yet submitted your own Form 6, we will show you where to send it.
